Dr. Karolina Ferreira

Dr. Karolina Ferreira
Growing up on a family farm in Northeast Poland, Dr. Karolina Ferreira discovered her passion for animal care at an early age. Her decision to become a veterinarian was solidified during childhood after witnessing a local doctor save her family’s critically ill dog—a moment that inspired her lifelong pursuit of medicine. After beginning her veterinary education in Poland, she moved to the United States to advance her training, ultimately graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University Of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation she moved to the Beehive State and has been practicing in Utah for the past 10 years.
Dr. Ferreira excels in collaborative team environments and loves all aspects of general practice, with advanced clinical interests in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and compassionate geriatric/end-of-life care. She is also fully bilingual and speaks fluent polish.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Ferreira embraces a busy, active lifestyle with her husband, William, and their two young sons. Together, they love hitting the trails for hiking, camping, fishing, and skiing or snowboarding. Their lively home is shared with Clyde, a three year-old mixed-breed pup; Boczek, a five-year-old cat whose name perfectly translates to "Bacon" in Polish; and five famous backyard chickens named after iconic music divas: Cher, Tina, Mariah, Whitney, and Celine.
Dr. Ferreira is incredibly excited to bring her energy and commitment to high-quality medicine to the team and clients at Holladay Veterinary Hospital.
