Dr. Laura McLain
Dr. Laura McLain grew up in the Midwest and attended the University of Wisconsin—Madison, where she received a BS in Zoology in 1993 and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. She is particularly interested in the medical, surgical, and dental issues of working K9’s, and is a certified Working Dog Practitioner through the Penn Vet Working Dog Center at the University of Pennsylvania. She was the team veterinarian for FEMA Urban Search and Rescue—Utah Task Force 1 for eight years, and provides care for search and rescue, police, and avalanche K9’s.
Dr. McLain is also a Fear Free Certified Professional. Her personal pets are Samwise, a Labrador Retriever, and Merry, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
