Dr. Monica Milstein grew up in Mill Valley, California. She graduated California's Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo in 2014 for her degree in animal science and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 2019. From a young age Dr. Milstein was interested in caring for animals and went through a "pony phase" that is still going strong. Dr. Milstein started her career focusing on horses - she completed a yearlong internship at an equine and sports medicine practice in British Columbia before moving to a general practice in the Salt Lake area. Dr. Milstein is thrilled to be able to care for smaller companion animals again. Her professional interests include wellness and preventative care, geriatric care, dentistry and ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners.

During her free time Dr. Milstein enjoys spending her time outdoors trail running, canyoneering, backpacking, horseback riding, rock climbing or skiing. Her other hobbies include cooking, gardening and playing with her feline companion, Jules.
